For context I remembered seeing this at a film fest around 2016-2018. I can't remember the details but I'm pretty sure it was an international one since it featured foreign films.
The short featured a completely grey (maybe brown?) girl singing and playing a guitar as she walks around nature scenes. While this is happening, shes unaware that there's a giant black/dark grey blob following her around.
This goes on until the blob catches up to her and eats the girl. But this results in the blob floating up, turning into a ball, and exploding. The splatter causing the world to become vibrant in color.
Recalling this because the song is stuck in my mind. I'd describe it to be like a Vashti Bunyan song where it's just a guitar and this girl's vocals with an ominous yet calm vibe to it. I can't remember the lyrics but I do recall the phrase "Save Me" being repeated throughout the chorus. I think the song describes some shadow that follows the singer (maybe it's referencing the blob?).
Tried looking up claymation girl gets eaten by blob or "save me" song on google but the results are just completely unrelated things that are no where near as close to the thing I'm looking for.
If anyone knows where this is please let me know.
