Hi! I have a 2021 Octavia and today I did my seasonal wheel change. I usually have a shop jack with a flat pad for changing tires. This year, I did not have it at hand and used a scissor jack with a slit/cradle — like the manual says. I found the jack point “rails” and started lifting one of the rear wheels. Early on, I noticed that the rubberized coating on the rail is wearing where the jack slit is entering.

Is this normal? I am not aware of whether the coating is from the factory or after market, and is thus unaware of how well protected or exposed the metal of the jack stand becomes now. The jack is aftermarket (not original Skoda) and the slit may be too narrow and deep for the jack points. Would you worry? And what are the recommended fixes?
