Hey. Me again.

I honestly didn’t think things would get worse this fast, but my unemployment got denied and it completely knocked the wind out of me financially.

Right now I’m trying to come up with $500 for my phone bill and car payment. If I lose my car, I lose my ability to reliably get to work. If I lose my phone, I lose the one thing keeping me connected to work, bills, my daughter’s school, and basically the outside world.

I’m a single father with a four-year-old daughter and I’m trying really hard to keep things stable for her while everything around me feels like it’s collapsing one bill at a time.

I’ve already sold most of what I can sell, and unfortunately the market for overweight 30-year-old Irish men doesn’t seem especially strong right now so I can’t go show leg on the corner.

I hate asking for help like this. Seriously. But I’m out of pride and running low on options too.

If anyone can help at all, even a little, or even just share this, I’d appreciate it more than I can explain.

I’m facing loss of power, water shutoff, car repossession, and possible eviction. Over the last four years I’ve lost six jobs — laid off, suspended, discharged, let go, fired — usually tied to economic hardship or companies collapsing around me. Every time I finally start getting back on my feet, something happens and I end up right back behind again.

I’ve burned through my savings. I can’t take out another loan, and I’m struggling to pay the ones I already have. I even took a lien out on my car trying to stay afloat.

I’m about $5,000 in the hole and genuinely out of options. I never thought I’d be asking strangers online for help, but I don’t know where else to turn anymore.

I’m a single father with a four-year-old daughter, and the thought of losing our home and not knowing where to take her has been eating me alive. I have a job, but it’s not enough to catch up anymore.

If anyone can spare anything at all, thank you. And if you can’t, even sharing this means more than you know. I fully intend to pay this kindness forward when I’m back on my feet.
