I've lived in Australia for 14 years from 2006 to 2020, 3 years as student visa and 11 years as PR.
In Jan 2020, I left Australia for a holiday and got call during that time that my father was seriously ill. So I decided to stay in my home country Malaysia because of my father's condition and covid. My father passed away in Nov 2022.
But as I was in a relationship with someone in Malaysia in 2022 until 1.5 years ago, so I couldn't go back to Australia straight after my father passed away.
And now, my resident return visa 155 expires in May 2027, may i know how difficult it is for me to renew it please?
a. In the past 5 years I have continually paying for a garage size storage in Australia which stores all my belonging
b. I also still own my car in Australia which I have continually paying for insurance and registration for the past 5 years
C.I still have bank accounts in Australia and I still submit my tax in Australia as resident for the past 5 years as I bought and sell shares as personal investment on Australia platform but not a lot of tax I've paid in the past 5 years
Based on the above, How do you think about my case for renewing my RRV please? Or anyone has similar experiences please?
