CMV: most good hair transplant results look pretty good by 4-5 months. if a hair transplant looks bad/mediocre at 6 months, it almost certainly will be a bad final result

It seems to be endlessly repeated anytime anyone has a thin result, pluggy hairline, or borderline nonexistent growth at the 4/5/6 month mark that they just “need to be patient” and that they “haven’t seen 50% of their growth yet” and that they need to wait 12-18 months to see the “final result”.

After spending an unhealthy amount of time on subreddits like this I think it’s just bullshit.

If you stumble on any of these types of posts where people say wait another 6 months and click OPs profile, his update pictures will look nearly just as bad. Im not sure where this “50% growth at 6 months” figure comes from but it feels like it comes from clinics to kick the can and delay responsibility. Great hair transplants look aweome by 6 months. It looks like a full head of hair. Yes, some mild textural changes might occur. Itll possibly become more natural looking as time goes on. But you so rarely EVER see any major growth occurring after 6 months. I would reckon on average the 6th month mark is more like 85-90% of what the final result will look like.

Totally would love to see photo evidence to the contrary, but I don’t think it exists.
