Our God is so intentional! 🙌

John 14:21 says, "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them". Jesus shares this during the Last Supper to explain that true love for Him is shown through action and obedience.

Mathew 4:1-4

The most famous masterpiece capturing this theme is *Christ in the Wilderness (*also known as Christ in the Desert) painted in 1872 by Russian artist Ivan Kramskoi. Rather than showing a dramatic face-off with a visible devil, Kramskoi portrays Jesus as a profoundly exhausted, solitary human figure sitting on a cold, barren rock at dawn, wrestling internally with the immense psychological and spiritual weight of his temptation.

This painting really resonates with me because Jesus who is also God in the flesh faced the same temptations and struggles we face today, yet he did not sin. Jesus knows what we go through when we face hardships and he wants to strengthen us and help us through them. Thank you Jesus for going through all you went through and still loving us. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice. Thank you Jesus for being the Way to life, here and now and forever in eternity.

Mathew 4:1-4 (ESV) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, 'If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.' But he answered, 'It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God

God bless to all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus
