Messenger messages gone after reinstalling the application in the Play Store
I have seen some old threads of this, not sure if there was a workaround found for this, but my Messenger app kept loading and loading new messages after i had a notification, i reinstalled the app, and suddenly all of my recent messages are gone, I see conversations from 2-4 years ago but not what someone sent me yesterday.
Now I just see a notification that the messages are end-to-end encrypted, and i've never seen this before when using Messenger in the last 2 years, and the only backup it made, was "created today".
Am I basically f'd, and those messages are gone? I was able to see them normally when going into the Facebook app, and pressing "send message" that would bring up a different version of the in-app Messenger that still shown the messages.
I rebooted my phone, and boom suddenly the messages from there are gone too, like that never happened.
Am I out of luck on this?
