Hello everyone !

I discovered cryptos since a few time and I never bought nor tried Monero but for me, when we remove the "artificial hype", this is clearly the most interesting crypto with Bitcoin.

I would like to know how it works. I know that this is private, but does it mean that I can have only one wallet and use it for everything without any fear ? So use it for long term holding + spending on a lot of merchants like Amazon, Steam, etc + send money to friends and family, so every thing with the same wallet and address ? Or should I take some precautions regarding privacy ?

Because on Bitcoin transactions are not hidden so I usually have one wallet for holding, one wallet for Steam, one wallet for Amazon, etc. And I would never use the same address on 2 services like Steam/Amazon, I would never use my holding wallet for buying something, etc.

Also do I need to do something to have private transactions or it on by default ?

Hello, so to summarize quickly: I hold Litecoin but I'm not a cryptocurrency expert. I'd like to use my LTC for daily purchases at various shops that accept this payment method, but I only have one address.

If I understand correctly, there's a privacy risk for my identity if I pay everywhere with the same account, because if the merchant know my identity and my wallet address, can see all my transactions. What are the solutions? I've heard about XMR, but it seems a bit radical and requires converting all my Litecoin to XMR, which I'm not willing to do.

EDIT : I didn't get any help after 5 hours, and my PMs got flooded by scammers.
