The Wrap is Done!

Just picked it up. A few changes from the concept the installer made on the fly:

  • Trim was done with spray on vinyl instead of traditional to ensure the trim delete had no minor red lines.
  • The spoiler was topped in brown instead of black with the edges kept gloss black to follow the other gloss black elements on the car.

I am stoked by how it came out, and I appreciate all your eyes and tips on the previous renders.

How is it landing to y'all?

There are currently 17 N logos on my car!

I just counted.

  • 1 on grill
  • 1 on bumper
  • 2 on trim
  • 2 on car seats
  • 1 on stick
  • 2 on calipers
  • 4 on mud flaps
  • 4 on wheels
  • 3 on the steering wheel
  • 2 on the door sills
  • 1 on the engine cover

I believe, assuming no additional add-ons and floor mats, that means every N comes with 17 N logos by default (my mud flaps add 4). Absolute insanity!

Edit: Added the ones I missed on my own EN that people mentioned in the comments, turns out my own N has actually 23 N logos on it, it is even more insane!!!

Is there a fallacy pertaining to rejecting a claim based on unreachable standards?

Hi there philosophy masters!

I have recently been thinking a lot about the concept of the desire or need for what could be deemed unavailable evidence to support claims. I am a bit discombobulated, so let we write this out and you let me know if it makes sense.

Imagine, a medical field in which you were not allowed to determine if something was cancer causing by intentionally giving it to humans. The only evidence you have that something is cancer causing stems from deductions based on self-reported statistical information. This is an inherent limitation to the level of certainty we can hold on the topic as due to self-imposed ethical constraints only self-reported statistical information is available. Someone then looks at the evidence available and says "You cannot prove this is cancer causing because it is only self-reported statistical information."

Is there something like a fallacy in rejecting the knowledge we have, in the desire or wanting or seeking for knowledge we cannot have?

Technical question for fellow manual drivers.

I have experienced something strange with my Elantra N twice so far.

Essentially, in 2 instances when I have decided to really let it rip and accelerate quickly, and then I aggressively switch to another gear, the next gear is still at an extremely high rev point, and my acceleration actually dips (its like I lose power). However, the gear that I am in, still hasn't reached its speed or acceleration threshold, its like, it needs to ease off for a second before I can give'r.

For example, today I went from 1st, to 2nd, to 3rd, to 4th, and the revs were peaked across all, before I eased off the pedal, and then after a moment I could reapply the pedal to once again have the appropriate power in that gear.

Its a strange sensation, and I have never driven a manual that had a similar effect. Although, I have only driven less performance oriented and older manuals.

What is happening? Is this normal?
