Tadalafil and muscle pain

I’ve been taking 5mg of Tadalafil every day for about a year now. I knew there were side effects such as muscle pain and heartburn. But I told myself that after a while it would go away.

But sometimes the pain was so unbearable and constant that I’d stop taking Tadalafil for a week, and when I started again, things would improve for two weeks before the pain started up again.

Sometimes I take painkillers and it helps a bit, but sometimes that’s not enough.

I wonder if this is normal, or if it’s an interaction with other medicines I’m taking (particularly aspirin to thin the blood).

Have other people ever experienced pain for such a long time? Should I stop, or should I carry on taking Tadalafil and wait for the pain to go away? Will my body get used to it?

I was born missing part of my penis.

I had what’s known as hypospadias, meaning the urethral opening wasn’t at the tip of the glans, but in the middle of my penis. The doctors operated on me when I was four years old. They used my foreskin to "reconstruct a urinary canal". As a result, I was circumcised, but only for medical reasons.

The big problem is that I didn’t originally have a frenulum because that whole area was missing. Instead, there’s a big hole. The sides of this hole are the most sensitive part of my penis.

To add to my frustration, I can’t blame anyone. I wasn’t circumcised for religious reasons or some stupid tradition, nor for reasons of hygiene or aesthetics. No, I was circumcised by the will of nature and no one else.

With today’s techniques, doctors could probably have done things differently, not removing my precious foreskin, or at least keeping as much of it as possible so that my glans would be protected from external irritation. But back then, in the 1970s, perhaps it was still seen as "just a piece of skin", and that the main thing, ultimately, was simply to ensure that I could have children when I grew up. In the end, I didn’t have any children anyway because I’m gay, but that’s another matter.

Last year, I discovered that circumcision causes a loss of sensitivity, and this opened my eyes to the reality of my sex life. This was the reason why sometimes I didn't feel anything and had poor erections. I learnt that it was possible to restore the foreskin, so I started applying tension regularly with my hands. I’ve made good progress since then, in the sense that it’s becoming increasingly common for my skin to cover part of my glans when I’m sitting down. And when I use the manual method, I find it’s getting easier to grab my skin and pull it over my glans. I’m confident that within two years I’ll have regained a good portion of my foreskin, and that I’ll have started to regain some of my sensitivity.

Thank you to this community for existing; it’s a daily source of encouragement for me 😄

Switch between Cinnamon and XFCE easily ?

Is it possible to switch from Cinnamon to XFCE (and vice versa) without reinstalling the operating system, whilst ensuring that the default tools are configured correctly?

For example, would the file manager be Thunar when using XFCE but Nemo when using Cinnamon?

Would it be better to install both and have separate user accounts, each with their own environment in both desktop environments?

Would there be any conflicts between the two environments?
