I remember reading a book in the late 1980s (possibly very early 1990s), about a young girl growing up in a large Catholic family with many sisters, in rural Ireland. Not much happens in the book, it’s more documenting every day Irish life. She and her sisters go to school and play in fields. I believe the book may have been set in the 1950s or 1960s? At some point they visit the town or city and a boy screams Culchie at them.

The cover featured an illustration of a girl with beautiful green eyes wearing a red print dress, possibly a school uniform dress.
