Vet check!

Irwin went in for a blood draw today. He was happy that everyone told him how beautiful he is (he already knows, but he wants others to realize it). They said he did great with the vet check and was very well behaved for the blood draw.

When I brought him in for the respiratory infection, they didn't want to do it. He had lost weight, was getting an x ray and was also being put on antibiotics. They vet didn't want to stress his body and nothing suggested anything beyond respitory and possible GI issue, so a blood check wasn't necessary. Now that he's up to a healthy weight (317g, he is a small beardie so this is a good weight for him) I decided to bring him in and get a baseline.

Glad I will get a solid baseline on his health (he's had fecal, an x ray and now a blood draw) to be able to give him his best life. Hoping everything comes back clean and I can make sure to keep him healthy for many years to come.

Beardie sitting!

2/3 of the beardies I got to hang out with this weekend. Redrum came out to join me for coffee this morning and Tink and I had fun snuggle time yesterday. Flame got to terrorize the village, but I don't have photo evidence as she was stealthy.

Added bonus of the puppers who kept me company.

Like the title says. I'm just wondering. Also, I (personally) do not mind if people state their preference on which they prefer.

Mine was a rescue. Not sure what his name (or if he had one) from where he was rescuced. My friend who saved him named him Simba. I changed it to Irwin (after Steve Irwin). He still gets called Simba sometimes, which I am totally fine with. He certainly doesn't care. I (obviously) prefer Irwin.

I went up to Brookings (Oregon) and found some cute nuds while tidepooling. I was excited as a couple of them I hadn't seen before.

Glad it has been nice enough for him to get out. He seemed to enjoy running around the lawn. Last year he was NOT about the wind, but he didn't seem to mind it today. I'm happy I was able to get him out for some enrichment and exercise today.
