Pathfinder.exe is finally running!

Some time ago if built Frau Mahlzahn various ramps and bridges, so she is able to roam safely and freely. Her cute little pea brain has now finished processing and she is finding an using the bridge on her own without insentives.

Please share the additions you made :) I am searching for ideas for more beardie furniture!

Is pygmy beardie welcome here too?

I don’t know why I just stumbled upon this subreddit now, but I’m glad I did 🙂

We got this little guy in November last year, our first reptile ever. We don’t know his sex, just call him a he😅

His name is Pancake and he’s getting his enclosure upgrade this weekend, he’s twice as big now as he was when we got him. I’m also taking him to the vet tomorrow for check up as he’s been hiding in his cave a lot and barely eating.

New feisty friend ❤️

Im a first time beardie owner (in partner with my roommate who has owned a German giant before) but have watched thousands of hours of beardie content, and ive never been more excited honestly!! This little guy (not named or sexed yet, I havent looked because hes still a spicy Lil guy, but i may try to see tomorrow afternoon but im unsure if hes too small still) is FULL of attitude, its hilarious. He wants nothing more in the world than to just chow down on nothing but his crickets and roaches and it breaks my heart telling him he cant get any more or he'll get too fat and to go eat his greens 😭😂

His setup isnt the best right now, but its what he came with when we adopted him from a friend of a friend. We plan on upgrading his tank ASAP to a bigger custom tank thats a lot busier and has a soil/sand floor, we just gotta go get the materials for it.

I do have a question, though: are they normally full to the brim with attitude and feistyness when they're this young? Im unsure exactly how old he is. The people we got him from said they had him for around 10 weeks and they suddenly had to move across the states and didnt want to take the risk with trying to maintain him on the trip. Im unsure if they got him from another beardie parent or straight from a breeder before that so we know hes at minimum 4-ish months old given we've had him just over 2 weeks now.

He's gotten pretty comfortable with me given that I held him the entire car ride (about 40 minutes) so he wasnt stuck in a bin that was honestly too small for him. but most of the time, he has some tude in the morning when I first see him. Im thinking its just teenager attitude mixed with a little bit of an "omg this lady feeds me right about now" excitement. Im just unsure if its normal. He lets me hold him, but not my roommate. Tbf hes a solid foot taller than me and has a beard so im sure thats kinda intimidating compared to my short, bare-faced self. But I just wanna know if these guys tend to calm down pretty fast or if my dude just has a ✨️personality✨️ or if hes simply just a fatass xD

It could also be because hes currently in the middle of shedding, possibly? I noticed his tail has some shed on it so I think he shed overnight or right in the morning but I seem to have missed the bulk of it (no pictures, but its just his tail left that has to shed) but im glad he shed good so far regardless. The only part I dont know much about is juvenile beardies and their demeanor.

Any and all info you guys would like to drop is more than welcome, I can never learn too much for my new friend ❤️

He won’t leave it alone

I think he likes it or is curious about it. The car didn’t have any batteries in it when he found it. He’s just oddly obsessed with it for some reason

What is a good site to get Dubai’s or other bugs from? I have a baby beardie and all of the stores around here don’t have anything small enough

Substrate

Can I get an opinion from the internet.

I got a beardie about 3 months back. I was gone for about 6 weeks and my wife had to take care of him. I was using a desert substrate because I like to recreate the most natural environment for my various little captives I have at home.

She's pretty new to the whole thing and had a bearded dragon book and took really good care of him 6 weeks I was gone this past month, and she switched his tank to paper towels because it's easier to clean and that's what was recommended in the book she was reading. I want to switch back to something more like desert substrate/sand because it's easier to scoop out his droppings and the paper towel kind of absorbs it and is very unappealing to look at.

Aside from looks and aesthetic appeal, does anyone have any opinions on what is the best substrate for the overall health and comfort of my little buddy!

Help me settle this debate at home haha

Rescue them please

These guys NEED a new safe home asap. I don’t have any room and can’t afford to pick them up but I refuse to stand by and hope someone will come across the post

From what I can tell there is 2 juvenile bearded dragons and 1 adult bearded dragon all together in a 20 gallon tank.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP THEM

What is she doing?

Hello all,

This is Dusty, my 2 ish year old beardie. Recently shes been extremely energetic, glass surfing a decent bit and then when i take her out she does this action that I show in video. Its the first time shes ever done this and I am unsure what it means. Please let me know of any ideas! Shes eating healthy(maybe a tad more than usual), not puffing, no black beard just being a tad strange( -er than normal beardy lol). Thank you!

What is she doing?

Is this her way of telling me she is ready to go back in her enclosure? She was chillin at the corner standing vertical on it.

Edit: I think I am gonna go get a harness leash for her. There is one at petsmart. I want to see how she does outside.
