My cat is a neutered male around 14 years old. He was very territorial and always chased other cats out of his territory.

However, one year ago, we saw a young male (around 1-2 yo) following my cat and he did not try to chase them. This cat always tried to go closer to mine but each time, my cat would hiss and hit them as a warning. Lately, another young male cat has been displaying the same behaviour around my cat, he even followed him inside our house.

Both are extremely cautious and nervous when they try to get close to my cat. I have no idea why they would do that. Is it like a test of courage or something?
