I recently flew Business from Sydney to LAX on American Airlines as one of a trips legs (Qantas for the rest) and downloaded the AA app which joined me to their AAvantage program.

The points for this flight accrued to AAvantage and not Qantas FF.

Since I can’t claim both and will unlikely be using AA anytime in the near future, is there a way to cancel the points with AA to then claim with Qantas or am I out of luck?

I’ll be flying Qantas Business international again next week. Want to know if approaching Qantas or AA staff at the terminal is suggested or try and call/email to sort this.
