You guys!! I asked before about realistic lilac fragrances and many of you suggested En Passant by Frederic Malle. The thing is, I had a 1ml decant that was a dabber. I tried it, and it just didn't smell all that much like lilac to me. But then I got a 2ml spray sample, and it really does smell like lilac!
So are the dabbers really not a good representation of a fragrance? Most of my samples are the dabbers that are only 0.5 or 1 ml. So now I'm a little freaked out that I'm going to miss out on some great fragrances just because it seems to make a difference on whether it's a spray or not. Also, if I find one I like as a dabber, might I then not like it as much as a spray? So how screwed am I?
Also thank you for your recommendations, it's been really lovely trying them all.
