I've used linux on and off for a few years, different distros, mostly KDE, and at first I thought this was going to be a bug that would be fixed. Here I am years later and still getting this issue sometimes. Currently on Bazzite, which is Fedora based.
Currently I am experiencing this issue with OnlyOffice in the foreground, fullscreened, and Firefox behind it, also fullscreened. I have a tendency to simply throw my mouse in to the top-right of the screen, and left click, to close a window. When I do this, with aforementioned setup, it closes firefox, the background window, instead of Only Office.
The X button is present, and works when clicked, but clicking on the top right pixel closes the window behind instead. What causes this? Is it Wayland? KDE? Or individual apps and how they are designed?
Either way it's a minor gripe, but very frustrating when it does happen, as it interrupts my workflow pretty heavily when I then have to figure out what I closed, reopen it, and then be extra careful to close the original window.
