Hey everyone, I know it's a stressful time because of finals week/move out, and everything going on. But I just wanted to remind everyone to please slow down, and be extra careful when driving and walking, especially around alafaya outside campus. Earlier this week, as a pedestrian, I got hit by a car but am EXTREMELY lucky that it only hit my side and rolled over my foot. I was crossing on a crosswalk with no light, and the driver was so focused on turning into alafaya they just didn't see me at all.

UCF is one of the least walkable areas around a campus, and I just wish that drivers could take a minute to slow down, take a stop at stop signs, and stop blocking the entire crosswalk. I know it's also really scary driving around here, and traffic is insane, but it's not worth the potential harm to yourself and others.

To my other ucf pedestrians, even if you have the right of way, be so very careful, people will NOT stop for you.
