Travel plans delaying FET?
Looking for advice! Last month we had our first egg retrieval. From there we have 2 day 3 embryos. We were planning our first FET for next month, after one cycle recovery. However, when discussing this with our ivf team they suggested we delay the FET until after we return from our trip. This means a 3-4 month delay!
Some extra information:
In case of pregnancy happing in this FET travel would include long intercontinental flights in week 7 and 10. During week 7-10 I would stay with family in my country of origin. I am familiar with the health system in this country, and I am aware that I will travel during the weeks where the chance of miscarriage is still high.
I feel conflicted as a delay of 3-4 months is a heavy burden in terms of time (I am 37 years old). Also, realistically the chance of this pregnancy happening is still relatively low. What would you do, wait or give it a try?
