About 6 weeks ago I had a strange neurological episode and I’m trying to understand it.
It started with tingling in my face, then spread down both arms. After ~20 minutes my hands clenched up and I couldn’t move them, and my legs were shaking uncontrollably. The whole episode lasted about 45 minutes.
For a couple of days after I felt really unwell — sick, numb hands, and a noticeable tremor. The tremor isn’t as obvious now, but it’s still affecting my fine motor skills.
A month before this, my doctor ordered an MRI due to new nosebleeds, severe one-sided headaches, and stroke-like symptoms. It showed a small white matter area, described as likely incidental.
Since the episode I’ve also had tingling in my feet, ongoing one-sided headaches, and worsening vision over the past few months (eye tests normal).
I’ve got a neurology appointment next week — has anyone experienced anything similar?
