Originally not written for guitar. I like the way in which the mood shifts between hope and despair.

When I was a kid, my mother sang around the house. One of her favourites was this timeless song by Doris Day (from the Hitchcock movie, THE MAN WHO KNEW TO MUCH, 1956). 

I nicked this darker version from the Pixies, it was the ominous title track of the FROM series.
