So recently I built a new home in Japan, and lots of my foreign friends keep telling, how buying old house and renovating is much better deal. I can see why some people would prefer that, but I wanted to actually build my own with preferred (style/design etc.). Also my wife is Japanese. They prefer building new one.
I just don’t understand, why so many foreigners in Japan are so against building a new one.
