What to do?

My mother had her car parked on her driveway, a 17 yr old son of a neighbour had their car parked opposite her house on a slope and didn't apply the handbrake. It rolled, crashed onto the front wall slightly knocking some of it over before hitting my mother's car which was knocked onto the steps handrail attached to the house causing the house to shake. The father of the son said that if we go through the insurance for the car his son won't be able to get another insurance and will pay for someone they know to fix my mother's car. I don't trust them that much plus I think that the house insurance will need to be contacted for the wall damage and to have the house checked. Any advice please? 🙏
