I’m probably late on posting this but I just noticed the instant cashout fee went up 3x (now $1.50).

The timing is interesting as Instacart is pushing the shopper ATM card product (with free cashouts etc). I’ve worked in fintech and that’s kind of a textbook move for a company to create friction with an old process in order to drive its users to a new feature (where they could make more money off of us).

$1.50 itself isn’t the end of the world, but I’m noticing it’s changing the way I shop. More selective on batches than I already was.. Less cashing out on the go (waiting til end of day).. Not going as far on orders to avoid racking up mileage (since I’d have less disposable cash to fill my tank over the course of the day)… Etc etc.

Curious how you all have adjusted. Has anyone signed up for the card? Have you changed what orders you’re willing to accept? Are you stacking more on the app and cashing out less now?

Am I being dramatic? Lol. Idk.. Between this change and the new acceptance rate implementation, it feels like they’re making it harder for us.
