Post hysterectomy lifting/carrying

11 days post op, 62 yo, laparoscopic remove all hysterectomy, plus intensive repair rectocele.

I am told not to lift anything over 10-15 lbs. but if someone hands you something over 10 lbs., or picking something off of a surface and carrying it- is that the same? The Weight is probably 25-30 lbs. A toddler, to be exact. Ok. My grandson lol.

Sounds ridiculous maybe but bending over and lifting something from the floor is different than taking something without bending.

Thoughts are appreciated!

Pain day 8 “normal”?

Had laparoscopic hysterectomy and rectocele / posterior wall repair. Dr. said there ended up being more extensive repair. I have some of the signs of infection but no fever so nurse over a phone call told me all is “normal” —but is it?
The hysterectomy pains are gone but exterior pain from all the repair I’m having is constant even with Tylenol/codeine, although it does take the edge off. I still cannot sit, even on the softest pillow. I have to lay sideways propped up at best. Even sitting on toilet feels like I’m being stretched open. The skin all down there is painful to touch. I’m told that if I get worse - lots of bleeding, worse odor or run fever to then let them know. Even lying down I feel the pain. All my vaginal childbirths/ episiotomies didn’t take this long to heal.
Is this normal? Support please 😩 Thank you!!🙏🏼

Post Rectocele repair -hygiene

6 days post.. after an extensive repair there are lots of stitches bruising and soreness. Like an episiotomy but worse.
Any ideas/ tips on washing that area well? What kind of soap? Stitch making it impossible to use washcloth. What about a cleansing type of soap that doesn’t have to be rinsed- just to make sure it stays clean. Ideas appreciated 😊

Post rectocele poop support

Post op day 3. Is it fear or something else—I Can’t gently push hard enough to poop. Dr. Said he had to do “extensive repair” and the pressure to actually gently push the poop out is *unbearable- plus I’m fearing that I’m going to bust the stitches. Since I have been home, I’ve only taken one Tylenol with codeine(day 2). And, every eight hours. I’ve been taking the ibuprofen prescription. I’ve taken stool softeners and magnesium (that I’ve been taking for years because it’s the only thing that helps me not to be constipated). Saying all that, I feel like I should take a pain reliever with codeine just to be able to poop! I don’t want to add to the constipation part of taking a pain reliever though.

Support needed that says it’s “normal”, yeah it hurts like heck, I won’t ruin anything.. should I add a suppository to help? Idk!
Also I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy during same surgery. Just fyi
I’m 62 and had 4 babies- I can’t believe how badly this part of recovery hurts.
