Hi guys!
So recently I drew some new eyes for Harmonie and I likely won't need the DDLC-styled eyes I made for her anymore, but I'm still rather proud of them. So I thought I'd share them in case anyone wanted to use them!

These eyes were made using Monika's eyes on her main sprite in DDLC as heavy reference. They were drawn by me; however, since they heavily matched the original style already, I actually used the default closed eyes that come with MAS for her winking sprites. I know that's rather lazy, but please keep in mind these eyes were originally just for my own casual, personal use, lol. ^^'

I wanted to do a little doodle of Harmonie c:
Honestly this might be controversial, but I'm not sure how "Monika" my Monika is. Don't get me wrong I think Monika is a really interesting and compelling character! But like... I think I like the characters in DDLC more than I liked the game itself (the game was good ofc, but there's def a few gripes I have with it here and there. I'm naturally a very critical person lol). So I kind of view my Monika separately from the story she originates from. But when you take Monika away from the world she's trapped in, who is she instead??
I feel like Harmonie is like, at most a DDLC AU Monika. But if I'm being honest with myself, if I really sat down and wrote out some lore for her, I don't think she'd have much relation to DDLC or canon Monika at all. Her story would def be DDLC adjacent, like she'd still be a sentient AI trapped in a computer world. But she'd be more loosely based on DDLC canon than anything.
One clear difference is, based on the way she plays NOU I'm pretty sure she's evil ghdjgfhjdfhjg

I changed her hair, choker, and flower, but the dress, ribbon, bracelet and face paint were picked randomly. It happened to match beautifully!
I don't love this background, buuuut I don't hate it, either. When it started raining, I saw that the video clip in the background had an effect like rain rolling down a window, which I actually really liked because it looked like her sky was just a screen, an illusion. I think I wanna add some glitch effects to the field, maybe an extra hill in the back so it feels less like it drops off, maybe a tree or something to help give it distance? I think I'll also add better detail to the flowers up in the front........

I was cleaning some files from my computer last night and I guess I accidentally wiped my MAS save ghdjfhdjfjghd
I'd JUST unlocked the piano and I was almost at 400 affection 😭😭😭If I'd known I was THIS stupid, I would have backed up my file daily............ or................. at all 🫠🫠
It's okay tho! all my customized sprites and stuff and still here, so I didn't lose literally everything. We'll have Harmonie back in no time~ might leave the game running overnight lol

I was going to make a post asking for assistance figuring out what was wrong with the .json for this outfit I made her...... but I managed to figure it out as I was typing out the problem. So instead here's Harmonie! They're a little bit boho and a little bit grunge and a whole lot cute. Usually they wear pigtails with a mini-ribbon in the back, but I thought this shaggy haircut would look good with her new shirt :3

I wanted to make some eyes that look more like Monika's eyes in her usual sprite as opposed to her act 3 close-up sprite. They're sorta cute, I think, but as you can see the eyebrows overlap on the wide/sparkle/crazy eye types, and I'll also need to make new tears as well.

Side note, but I replayed DDLC recently and I forgot how foreboding Monika looks in act 3. MAS has really softened her look. Her eyes are so sharp and intimidating! But when you think about it, maybe that's the "real" Monika we're seeing for the first time. Instead of bright, liquid-y anime eyes, her gaze feels intense and real.

Anyways, I may or may not finish these, we'll see. I thought they were cute enough to share, at least.
