Trying to figure out what old chemicals are still good

I've just started a new job and I'm trying to purge old chemicals. One thing I'm looking at is whether the chemicals would even still be good after decades. I was wondering if I could get some expert guidance if some generous soul has some time. My background is biology and I'm weak in chemistry.

These are mostly dry chemicals and they're mostly from the last century. Not all are dated, but I'd guess the majority are from 1960-1980, and I need to make a case for why we should discard them (or be corrected myself if we don't need to).

If it's a dry powder, not clumped, and the container is intact, is there a shelf life for:

  1. inorganic salts

  2. hormones

  3. Amino acids

  4. Oils (castor, sesame, clove)

  5. Sugars

I can also post the whole list, but most of them fall into those five basic categories.
