When the heat decides to turn the farm into a skillet, we don’t argue with it — we adapt.
First came iced tea on the porch. Then cold watermelon off the tailgate. Then creek hammocks, a slip-and-slide, and finally the official farm-style luxury spa: a stock tank full of cool water.
Shannon says this counts as “summer survival.” Emily says it counts as “research.” Amanda says it was worth getting soaked. Myra says we should have started with the slip-and-slide.

Myra stayed close beside me, and before long the back deck was full of coffee, laughter, familiar stories, and the kind of gentle teasing only good friends can get away with. I’m still recovering, but moments like this make everything feel a little more normal again. 💜☕
My memories are still returning a little at a time, but I’m doing much better than I was a few days ago. Tara didn’t pressure me to remember anything—she just sat with me, talked, and helped familiar moments find their way back naturally.
