map projection

Would it be a massive undertaking for an average joe like me to move TGC map projection to GFM? Not creating it new or smth, can I like directly move the code?

Let's settle this once and for all!

Upvote the GFM reply if you think that GFM is better, and the TGC reply if you think TGC is better.

I, personally, expect GFM to sweep this.

Also make sure to discuss why you think GFM/TGC is better!

How do I get up to the ten thousands in industrial score?

I just finished a US run and I managed to crack about 2,000-4,000 by 1925 following this guide https://www.reddit.com/r/victoria2/comments/1dtthuc/gfm_ultimate_2024_victoria_2/ but I've seen a lot of photos with people managing to get up to five figures, including the guy who made this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/victoria2/comments/pe8700/victoria_2_hyperindustrialisation_guide/), which I also tried to follow but again, I only got 5,000. How do I get five figure industrial scores without being state capitalist all the time?

How do I fix my industry?

I mostly followed the top comment of https://www.reddit.com/r/victoria2/comments/w2484r/gfm_why_is_my_industry_so_bad_as_the_usa/, and https://www.reddit.com/r/victoria2/comments/1dtthuc/gfm_ultimate_2024_victoria_2/ and it feels like I followed both of them to a T, but it feels like my industry is just hugely lagging behind other powers. I even had -15% negative tariffs, 100% spending and no taxes for a while after doing a punitive expedition into China and also getting reparations from the UK after the Caroline Affair. My national bank is huge (7.70M), which I think indicates that my people have too much money, which means that my capitalists should be doing a ton of new projects, but no! They just do a couple (most of them in former colonies that just became states) and railways (because I just got a new infrastructure tech). Along with this, my population is hugely booming which means I should have a ton of demand, and people have mentioned that you have to TRY to screw up your industry as the US. But I guess I'm just stupid somehow?

(I'm a newbie and I've only played like 3 playthroughs if I sound dumb, but I have watched alot of tutorials)

Idea for addition to mods

(Don't know if this is possible to implement or not-not experienced with modding)

Taxes should help drive population growth/immigration or decline/emigration. For example, if your country has little to no taxes, more people would obviously immigrate to your country due to the fact that they will likely be getting much less taxes if they go to your country, and since more people have money to support more/their babies and drive infant mortality rates down, your population growth should also see a slight increase. Opposite goes if you have high taxes. Just thought about it during a US run.

Hope I'm Not Beating A Dead Horse

I've already seen numerous posts on the AI upscaling stuff and the guy has responded to a few saying he used a mobile face editing app that is not AI.

Firstly, I do not care if it is AI or not, just use the original picture! The pictures are already high-res enough, and some look worse (Chisholm, and several others). Secondly, even if they do look "better and higher quality", I'm sure you would get wayyyy more players by not having this huge controversy about using AI and generating talks about if you used AI for the writing too, also hurting your potential to become recognized as a "great mod". Most people here do not like AI, myself included, and that is going to hurt your mod if people are playing it, and instead of recognizing the depth and detail you gave to this mod (which you did), they will only focus on the AI pictures and trying to detect AI while playing the game.

Any ways, I am probably beating a dead horse here, as you saw in the title, but I don't think many people mentioned some of the reasons I gave. Thank you for your time!

What is Project Alice and should I download it?

I've played a couple campaigns of Victoria 2 now and I really like the game, so I modded it to add GFM since everyone recommended it and it seemed like the best mod out there, and I'm really liking the flavor.

However, I keep hearing about Project Alice that has some global projection instead of a map, and is supposed to improve performance. What exactly is it, and should I download it?

What hat is this guy wearing?

Been lurking this subreddit for a while and found this guy in a video. Thought his hat looked snazzy and just wanted to know what hat it is.

We need the 1904 Alton B. Parker incumbency simulator effective immediately! Let us kill Roosevelt for the Cortelyou scandal!

That or a Reagan incumbency simulator!

I swear I've beaten Yang like 30 times but it never unlocks for me. I've even unlocked Vincero from him and it STILL doesn't unlock. And no, it isn't from Schultz or Cuban being the main candidate.
