I have been looking at planning a quick weekend getaway from Vegas to Reno for a few months now. The flight was always around $100 round trip as long as I searched a week or two in advance.
I decided to go ahead and book today and didn't see anything under $260 as far out as September. I'm seeing similar fares for LAX which is always on the cheaper side as well.
Curious to see if others are seeing similar increases on short haul and local-ish flights that are typically the most affordable routes. Also wondering if jet fuel cost is the driver here or if Frontier is taking advantage of Spirit's demise to jack up their fares.
