I was playing around studying Game of Life patterns and found a fun way to visualize DNA. I learned the oscillators and glider eaters from conwaylife.com/book. I remember from the low weight spaceship gun that sparks from these oscillators can be used to destroy spaceships if they're placed correctly, so I made the Trojan horse.
Full credit to Nicholas Carlini for designing light weight spaceship logic gates, otherwise this video wouldn't be possible. He has even made fully functional computers which is something I could dream of. This was actually my first time building anything in Conway's Game of Life, I first read all his essays on Game of Life computers before starting.
I recreated his logic gates pixel by pixel and copied his rotation gates to reroute I/O. Synced everything by analyzing needed distance + specific generations that the components worked on which was a fun nightmare. The shapes are made with 4x4 still lives.
(I added the "I/O routing by me" to say that Nicholas Carlini didn't build his logic gates this way, they were made with efficiency in mind.)

Used traceable for the first time and I honestly prefer it over normal mode, but this map showed me just how much harder traceable is than normal mode. I could beat riftwalker first try but on traceable it took 2 full hours to get a pass. I still love this mode, but god damn and you don't even get a multiplier for it lol
Spent half an hour trying to get an S rank and got an F rank instead. I always wondered if an F rank existed and now I found out lol. No mercy for sudden death
"Adjust beatmap offset automatically" I wonder if it's accurate. And yes screenshots are hard
