Pi-hole does 90% of the heavy lifting, so just want to block YouTube ads really (and disable cookie notices if possible) on top of this. But installing wBlock really slows the browser down as its just doing a load of work thats already done by Pi-hole... so what are peoples recommendations for a combination Adblocker that leaves Safari at full speed but only does the bits Pi-hole doesn't?
Has anyone moved to Vivaldi? Seems really powerful (only just installed it) and so far the only thing I can see that it doesn’t do (that Dia does) is being able to switch profiles in the same window. The web panels thing is great too (for things like WhatsApp etc)
I’ve switched because using Chrome is essentially the same thing with one significant difference. Chrome is WAY faster and snappier. Loading web pages and general browsing is almost instantaneous even with the Claude extension… on Dia there is always around a second of latency.
I don’t really use the sidebar so there is basically zero reason to contribute to use Dia. Which is a shame as all the little graphical niceties are pleasant but do not miss them for the huge speed increase in Chrome.
The only thing missing from Bitwig in my view is a groove tool…. Or something like this:
