Dia long term
Since Dia got rid of the subscription, do you think they still will be reliable in 2 or 3 years from now?
My concerns is that I don't want Dia become another project left in the backseat like Arc.
What do you guys think?

A lot of people here have been running into the same problem: Dia’s generated web pages now kinda look rough. The styling is inconsistent, dashboards come out messy, and every page looks different from the last.
Quick fix: tell Dia to "use report-kit" in your prompt.
Instead of building the whole page from scratch (HTML, CSS, and all), Dia only writes the content for index.html. The design comes from a pre-built template that already looks clean. Better fonts, better spacing, way more consistent.
Try it next time you ask Dia to make a page. It makes a big difference.
Is their any way to keep Dia (browser frame) in light mode even when system wide dark mode is enabled?
I'm on Early Birds and on New Chat.
It means you have beta features and Claude model as AI assistant.
But today I felt like it dumbed down horridly all of a sudden. And started to feel like ChatGPT again. Even worth - brainwashed one. SO I wonder if they're rolling back or it's just some mine strange issue.
Signs:
- Assistant forgot previous conversations and quirks.
- Assistant changed tone and temperature from confident sarcastic back to default "AI am happy helpful dumbass!"
- Morning dashboard not making the html page as it was before.
- Complex news dashboard is still created but 5 times longer and with messed formatting
- Assistant keeps saying it's Dia. We were far past that part year ago.
I’ve been using Dia and really enjoy the Tab Preview experience (the command-palette style view that shows open tabs, recently closed tabs, history, and bookmarks, similar to the screenshot). After using it for a while, I noticed one small but very useful feature that seems to be missing: the ability to close tabs directly from this preview view.
Right now, Tab Preview helps me:
However, when I want to clean up my workspace (especially older or low-priority tabs), I have to:
This flow is a bit slow and breaks the focus when I’m trying to do a quick cleanup session.
Feature request
I’d love Tab Preview to support:
x button that appears when hovering over a tab entry, orWhy this would help
If the Dia team and the community also find this useful, I’d be really happy to see this considered in a future update. It’s a small UI/UX change, but it would make tab management feel much smoother and more powerful.
Thanks for reading!
Does anyone one know when the Arc mobile app is becoming Dia? We had the tweet from Josh that the Dia app will be the best of Arc and Dia…but kind of nothing since then to my knowledge. If anyone’s beta testing or internal that can give some level of confidence that it’s coming anytime soon, would love to hear about it. It’s one of the largest missing features for me, especially with Dia reports, files, sync becoming more useful
I’m not from Dia’s team but please let’s take the chance to share our feedback!
Looking forward to get some community bottom up useful updates :)
EDIT: It’s an official Dia form I got via email. Just felt like sharing it here!
> 1.31.0 further weaves your tools through Dia, with richer third-party integrations. > > - Stop opening PRs blind. Hover over your PRs in your Github Live Group and Dia shows you CI status and any merge conflicts so you can get a rough read on how big the diff is. > > > - Confluence joins the table. Confluence is now supported in Live Groups, so you can see the Confluences docs that need your attention alongside Notion and Gmail in your Docs Live Group. > > > - One emoji to rule them all. Tab groups now get an automatically selected emoji that represents what's inside, making them easier to scan and recognize at a glance. > > > - Dia checks Notion now, too. Notion mentions, comment threads, and share invites all surface in chat, so it's easier to stay caught up without context switching. >

Honestly I’m pleasantly surprised. I was one of those people who was super excited when Dia first came out and then brutally disappointed, but now I feel like I can comfortably switch over without too many compromises.
Sidebar is there, spaces are there (although not as slick to slide through, but not a big deal), the small pop-out screen when watching videos outside the tab is there, split screen is there too.
Honestly, what’s even missing at this point? I feel like they actually listened to our complaints.
What do yall think?
Back to ChatGPT. Since when? I've not used the browser in like 4 days.
Noticed a small but pretty confusing UI bug in the latest Dia update.
In the sidebar, collapsed groups sometimes show the “expanded/open” icon state instead of the closed one. It makes the hierarchy feel inconsistent because visually it looks expanded even when it’s collapsed.
Also seeing occasional overlapping between the group icon and the label text.
Would love to see it, there's a Firefox extension that does window/tab bar tinting as well.
This seems like a pretty basic function for a modern browser to have, yet this bugs me on a regular basis. I asked Dia chat and it was no help. Anyone know if this exists, or if the devs plan a way to navigate to a noisy tab?
I recently tried Zen Browser and really liked the overall UI and experience, but it seemed pretty memory-heavy during normal usage.
How does Dia Browser compare in terms of:
RAM/memory usage
Battery performance
Overall efficiency compared to browsers like Zen, Chrome, Arc, Zen, Safari, etc.
Would love to hear real-world experiences from people who’ve used it daily.
I have sync turned on and it's supposed to sync all my profiles and bookmarks between my computer at home and my laptop for when I work outside.
And now literally all of my bookmarks for my work profile are gone. Pinned tabs are all messed up as well. I haven't had to use my brain when navigating my tabs and bookmarks for this client because I have everything placed where I need them to be whenever I'd need them. Now my brain is panicking because nothing is where they should be and I don't have them memorized.
Anyone know if this is backed up somewhere or if there's any way to restore them?
This may have been asked around a million times here but are there any news on Dia coming to windows? It's the only good AI browser I've found for my Mac, would love to get it to my windows PC aswell.
Am I the only one that runs 2 different machines on the same Dia account, with the sync feature on, and.. there is no syncing at all !?!
Everything that they advertise, bookmarks, profiles etc, don't work at all
