Per the community poll posted a few days ago, the subreddit voted 157 - 5 to ban AI content. Rule 4 banning AI content is now added. This is not retroactive and any previous posts containing AI will not be removed because it was allowed at the time. Going forward, please do not post AI images of pipe cleaners. Thank you to everyone who took part in the poll.

Should AI Art be banned from the subreddit? Many art subreddits ban AI but there is currently no active ban here. I think the main argument against using generative AI is that the resulting art is not authentically created through the artistic process.

This is a separate conversation from generating something for your own knowledge. For example, wanting to get a rough idea of what something would look like, thumbnail, etc and then make it yourself. There's no reason to post/share this part of your process on this subreddit.
