Judas the betrayer Versus Arthur the worthy king
I don’t want to write an entire fan roster but just a fight I think could be fitting with the general manga story, fight three being the biggest example of this weather seems to be a general theme, pride and ego versus humble humanity
Imagine for a second Judas the betrayer of Christ for simple bit of mortal wealth he betrayed the Messiah and son of God for a simple fleeting second of wealth betrayed his master and true friend for a coin(s) imagine being tortured in hell for 6 1/2 million years, what would it do to your head finally one of the gods releases you from your cage promises you power speed stamina abilities beyond anything you ever imagined but you must do a job kill a human King in a tournament of power.
You learn humanity lived for 7 million years a number almost impossible to comprehend and before you stands King Arthur the man chosen as a worthy, the only one who could pull the Sword from the Stone, both the gods and humanity cheer for the death of Judas but you just hear something else from the audience of humanity cheers hope aspiration love, The true and worthy king loved by humanity they hope for him stand by him and I reassured by his smile.
If I was to write King Arthur versus Judas, Judas would become more and more monstrous losing more and more of his humanity given so many gifts by the gods as a form of demoralisation and propaganda against the human fighters but as the fight goes on Judas becomes physically less human but emotionally more deep down wanting to lose wanting to be punished for his great betrayal and looking at Jesus in the audience, almost 7,000,000 years of regret.
No matter how much it looks like Judas has everything in the bag King Arthur still gets back up yet again even as the sword he once pulled from the stone is broken and his volund becomes his new holy weapon no matter the broken bones the king stands worthy for the people who depend upon him because what is the king if he can’t defend his kingdom, the pain and the regret becomes unbearable.
What if in the final clash Judas dies a human and redeemed, despite his great monstrous powerful form in the moment when it looks to be both characters doing their final attack against each other in a clash of power versus power Judas hesitates he lets attack kill him striking through the heart.
Much to Arthurs confusion and the Knights of the round table even Merlin doesn’t understand for a second before whether fruit held Judas himself Jesus or Merlin explains which ever you think is the most poetic for the story writing Judas never wanted to win he desperately wanted that one bit of pain for that one tiny bit of payment he received in his mortal so possibly maybe he could be redeemed for his great betrayal so long ago, imagine his soul crumbling away as he screams tears going down his face begging Jesus his master that he forsake so long ago for forgiveness, I want you the reader of this Reddit post to imagine which feels better Jesus forgetting or ignoring how that would affect Judas as he passes or someone like Arthur.
