Why is building trust in finance infinitely harder than building the actual product?

I spent the last 2+ years building a stock research platform/algo system.

Funny enough, building the actual tech ended up being easier than getting people to use it.

The system is up around 166% YTD on paper-tracked ideas, but distribution in finance is brutal. Most people either assume you’re selling a scam, ignore you until you already have traction, or the social algorithms just bury the content completely.

For those of you who built financial platforms, how did you get your first real users?
