Devoured: The Serpent and the Pomegranate review #ad

Hi fellow readers!
As you may already know, Manta currently has the “Press Play on BL” event. Several BL titles are being promoted and you can enjoy a lot of free episodes!
Today I’m reviewing Devoured: The Serpent and the Pomegranate
Disclosure: this is an ad

Summary:
In Trastasa, god Amon rules with his human-hearted consort Na-in. Among his devoted Lesha, a new arrival, Rhan Gwen with rare pink hair, captivates him. Consumed by jealousy, Na-in secretly seeks Gwen, and love and despair begin to unravel his once perfect life.

This is a historical, non-Asian story. Na-in one of the MLs is a kind spirit. He has a small frame, with delicate features, and very beautiful. Amon, the other ML is a god and he’s a bit crude. He’s one of those MLs who seems a bit uninterested in the beginning. As the story progresses, you start seeing glimpses here and there of how he cares for Na-in. However, his cold demeanor confuses Na-in. He’s a big, possessive, and attractive ML.
The art is GORGEOUS. The characters are drawn so beautifully that it doesn’t disappoint at all.
You can find the full version with some very spicy scenes; and the regular version without anything explicit if that’s not your thing ;)
I’m curious to know what path the story will take. The third character introduced in the first episodes definitely means there will be a love triangle. If you’re more of a romantic type, this title might not be the best one to binge. But I think it’s worth giving it a try, you might be surprised!!

Happy Twogether review #ad

Hi everyone ✨
Another month, another review!
Full disclosure: this is an ad :)
This month I’m reviewing Happy Twogether, a Manta exclusive title and a MASSIVE hit in Korea right now.

Summary:

Dream Boy was a beloved idol group until a scandal ended them. Now Jaeyoung delivers food to survive.
A late-night call sends him to a club, where he runs into Seungmin-the man who took his stage name
"Happy" and became a star. Then Seungmin drops a proposal: "You know who I am. Let's collab."

TBH it took me a while to read this one because I don’t generally reach out for BL stories. However, as I started reading I just couldn’t put it down!
I love good art and nice drawings, I think that’s an important factor I take into consideration when deciding if I’ll keep reading or not. This manhwa’s art does NOT disappoint. The MLs have very attractive drawings LOL.
The story involves K-Pop stars so music is a main theme.
The two MLs are complete opposites, but they kind of understand each other and that fuels their unspoken attraction. Their chemistry is *chef’s kiss*
The story starts with a plot twist you don’t see coming, but it’s explained as something fated. It’s fresh and exciting and I’m very much looking forward to what the future of it brings! Probably a lot of drama, but I’m definitely expecting sweet and hot moments!
There’s a special promotion where you can enjoy to episode 3 for free and get 10% off Happy Twogether S1! Give it a peek and let me know what you think! Stay tuned for more recommendations!

My Master Doesn’t Bite *review* #ad

Hi everyone! This is a review and full disclosure also an #ad but I highly recommend giving this manhwa a peek!

Summary: Tempted by the high salary, Lucy, a maid, goes to work at a remote mansion. Her new employer is Skar, a hot-headed half-dragon said to hate humans. Despite his initial skepticism of her, Lucy starts to grow on Skar. But with his fiery outbursts, can Lucy successfully cool the flames of his temper?

I really like Lucy, the FL, she’s hilarious. She’s so freaking honest and goal-oriented (she wants to buy a house and save money for a decent future). She really tries hard and turns out she’s an excellent maid and cook.
The ML seems like a red flag guy at the beginning, but he’s so stinking cute as the story progresses. He’s very innocent, but also very aware of the high value he possesses to others because he’s a dragon. He’s caught completely off guard by Lucy with her honesty and concern for him.

It’s very clear they’re gonna end up together and good for them. She needs someone who can take care of her and make her feel safe - and who could be better at that than a strong half-dragon LOL! And he just needs heart-warming love. Plus adding comedy is just the cherry on top 👌🏼

Hope y’all can give it a try, you won’t regret it!
