small Alphabet(WS) music video theory!

I had many observations when watching the new music video, but this was definitely my favorite.

Near the end of the video, we see a person with gloves on (likely a paramedic) find and assess the tenth wilbur’s body (the version who never woke up that morning). But the most interesting part is how they assessed him!

They checked his pulse first before checking his pupils. I knew this was unusual when dealing with the recently deceased, so I looked it up and confirmed that, no, a professional would absolutely not have checked his pupils if they hadn’t felt a pulse upon arrival! The reason for this is that it wastes time that could be spent administering life-saving care.

So my theory is that they felt a pulse and wilbur number 10 isn’t technically dead hurray!!!

Of course though, a music video doesn’t have to be medically accurate, and he could in fact be dead if the band intended him to be 🤷

Me when I’m sad that I’m nothing more than the third timeline living a mundane life in a rock music video and I didn’t have time to buy a coffee

(SPOILERS AHEAD) I love this music video.

(This is not pirated in any form by the way, the entire video was on spotify. Please don’t come after me. If any of the band members are uncomfortable with this discussion before the video is posted on youtube please warn me and I will delete this post immediately!)

I loved the concept for the wasted summer music video so unbelievably much. It reminded me heavily of the adult swim short film “Too Many Cooks”, but that comparison might just be because I was completely enraptured with that film as well, so much so that I wrote a short film based on it for a video production class!
The idea of what all could happen on a mundane morning of getting up, getting dressed, walking to work, and THIS being the version of you that makes it there is so freaking fascinating and I LOVE it.

Also, the lyrics jumping between the different boxes (timelines?!) was so cool even if it was hard to keep track of lmao.
I haven’t had enough time to dissect everything quite yet but this will feed my brain for months I swear.

The concept alone makes this my favorite Lovejoy music video yet. I really can’t wait to see what is coming next!

Mark’s jacket in the promotion picture

What brand is it and where can I get one????
I know it’s a pretty generic leather jacket but it looks really cool plus it’s almost exactly my style.

This is an oddly specific question but I’ve seen fans find Wilbur’s specific clothes online before so I thought it was worth a shot. 😭 Maybe yall can work your magic for little ol’ me
(also, sorry that the circle is so lumpy i know it bothers me too)

July 6th???

Someone just told me that the emoji is automatically July 17th (which is odd but I’m sure there’s a reason) so I think he’s trying to say that something is dropping on the 6th of July. Perhaps a remaster???? 👀

Alternatively, this means nothing, the 6 stands for 6 years and the calendar emoji was a coincidence symbolizing it being an anniversary

Wasted Summer lyric change

So I’ve seen a few different people say a few different things, but after listening to the audio clip so many times I’m like 99.9% sure that Wilbur says “nasal deep in the bathtub” which I don’t think was the original lyric, but what WAS the original lyric??? 😭

I was always under the impression it was “please don’t puke in the bathtub” but someone pointed out to me that “please don’t weep in the bathtub” also makes sense. Other people have heard other things but I think it’s one of those two?

If anyone has any sources on what it was (or if any band members wanna quench my curiosity 👀) it would be much appreciated!
