My favorite little detail is that Wilbur #7 is the only one who gets to keep his glasses since hes the only Wilbur who never had to change shirts
Also I love how Wilbur #1 literally runs over to steal the shirt off Wilbur #12's dead body
(Sorry for posting so much I only just got to see the new clip and Im really excited as you can probably tell.)
I had many observations when watching the new music video, but this was definitely my favorite.
Near the end of the video, we see a person with gloves on (likely a paramedic) find and assess the tenth wilbur’s body (the version who never woke up that morning). But the most interesting part is how they assessed him!
They checked his pulse first before checking his pupils. I knew this was unusual when dealing with the recently deceased, so I looked it up and confirmed that, no, a professional would absolutely not have checked his pupils if they hadn’t felt a pulse upon arrival! The reason for this is that it wastes time that could be spent administering life-saving care.
So my theory is that they felt a pulse and wilbur number 10 isn’t technically dead hurray!!!
Of course though, a music video doesn’t have to be medically accurate, and he could in fact be dead if the band intended him to be 🤷
This is from last year but I never posted it... originally was for a friend but WHATEVER
For me its definitely common touch but I’m really bored and i want to make a diagram of which is the most liked by lovejoy fans!!
I was rooting for the second Wilbur from the top right
He almost made it, then he died D:
Let's say the verses are A, the "wanna be my cellmate" is B, and the chorus is C. Also, let's say the bridge is D, but it's not so important.
Then, the progression goes ABACABCDC. Not a magical ABCABC etc.
Most other Lovejoy songs go ABCABC, but they don't get named Alphabet? Why am I bothered this much by this :(
Idk something about the guitar
Anyways PEAKPKAEKPAKEPAEKAKPAKEK[PEAKKKJJ

Since you failed to bring us new songs before the end of springs I'll be obliged to go to one of the Europe shows and get Mark.
Be prepared, cause I will be.
It's such a shame too you were one good drummer.
Why Lovejoy WHY is it called Alphabet? Is there some kind of special meaning behind it? Is somehow all the lyrics in alphabetical order??? Or maybe there's a hidden 12x3 grid?
Looking at the lyrics and I still find this one to be very cool
"Did I fallow the fields that I should have left dead?"
It's cool because it got me to look up a new word: fallow
It means to plow a field during planting season but intentionally leave it unplanted, to help with the rotation of fields and yield better harvest the next season.
So I find it interesting to be thrown a farm fact in the song. But I interpret it as like digging up things that should have been left alone, even if the intention was to make things better in the future. Like talking things out with a partner who doesn't want to make things better and it becomes a toxic relationship, and wishing you'd have said nothing.
One of them is for a project, veeery similar to what I've done before :)
my pals keep making comments about how wilbur’s being different for facing away so i made that
Have you guys found out anything else about this? Or has anyone official say anything about it?
I wish OST and the upcoming EP had more consistent mix and master with each other. Would be cool to put on the album and then the EP in one listening session, and not feel like the sound is odd going from one to the other.
That said, amazing song and production, well worth the wait!
