Flipkart ac installation issue
Bought a Voltas AC from Flipkart in April for around ₹40k. Delivery happened on May 2nd as promised, but the installation process has been a complete nightmare.
Initially installation was scheduled for May 7th, then suddenly preponed to May 4th. No technician ever contacted us, nobody responded to calls, and the request was automatically cancelled.
Then Flipkart rescheduled it to May 9th. Same issue again — technician gets assigned but never calls or responds.
I contacted Flipkart customer care multiple times:
First they promised resolution by May 12th
Then by May 15th
Now they’re saying May 18th
Every single time the ticket gets closed as “resolved” even though absolutely nothing was resolved. They also keep updating the status saying “customer requested reschedule” which is completely false. Why would I intentionally delay installation for 2 weeks after buying an AC?
The AC is still sitting unopened at home and this entire experience has been extremely frustrating.
Now I’m confused about what to do:
Should I directly contact official Voltas support and get it installed?
If the unit turns out defective later, will Flipkart deny replacement/return because installation wasn’t done through their assigned technician?
Has anyone faced something similar with Flipkart installation services?
Would really appreciate advice on the safest option here because I can’t risk ₹40k.
