Window AC that won’t rattle my walls please :)
Hi there!
We bought a house in September and have never lived without central air and now the heat is back!
I bought a Midea U shaped 12,000 BTU AC at Costco for the downstairs and while it did cool the house wonderfully after a few hours of running it started to rattle the walls and sound like a helicopter was hovering over my house.
Apparently this is not uncommon but I cannot live with it.
When I searched for a replacement the LG inverter came up as the next best option but apparently that one also causes this vibration/helicopter sound too
Last year we used a freebie one from a friend that was from 20 years ago and it didn’t do that but it also was an energy monster.
I am hopeful someone could give me an idea of where to go from here.
All I really want is one that is energy efficient and doesn’t shake my walls. I don’t necessarily care if it’s quiet inside and it does not need to be smart. 10,000 or 12,000 preferable for the space.
