Iberia made me wait 42 minutes on the phone — then hung up on me

Iberia customer service is absolutely unacceptable — 42 minutes on hold just to be hung up on

I’m honestly furious with Iberia’s customer service.

I already opened an incident with them because I needed to validate some information. Instead of answering my questions through the incident, Iberia themselves told me to call customer service.

So I did.

I waited 42 MINUTES on the phone, only for them to hang up on me.

No answer to the incident.

No answer to my questions.

And after following their own suggestion to call, I waste 42 minutes waiting and they simply disconnect the call.

How is this considered acceptable customer service?

If you require a customer to call you to validate information, then at the very least answer the phone and don’t hang up after making them wait almost an hour.

Iberia, what exactly am I supposed to do now? Open another incident that nobody answers? Call again and waste another 42 minutes hoping someone eventually decides to help?

Absolutely ridiculous.

Iberia changed my San Juan–Madrid flight from an A330-200 to an A321XLR. Has anyone flown this route recently?

Iberia changed my San Juan → Madrid flight from an A330-200 to an A321XLR.
I know the A321XLR is a new aircraft, but I’m curious what the experience is like on an 8+ hour transatlantic flight.
Has anyone flown San Juan → Madrid on the A321XLR?
How did it compare to the A330?
Is Iberia gradually replacing the A330 with the A321XLR on the Puerto Rico route?
I’d appreciate any firsthand experiences before I decide what to do.
Thanks!
