Should i do an MBA from Malaysia as a International Student?

A bit of background

I visited Malaysia in November 2024 and genuinely loved it — enough to consider living there permanently. That's the main motivation behind this post.

I'm currently finishing my Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University (QS Ranked #328, 2026) and trying to figure out my next step.

What I'm considering

Doing an MBA in Malaysia right after graduation as an international student from India. I know going in as a fresher is debatable, but given that I want to relocate internationally, it feels like the right move for me.

My actual questions

- Which universities are worth it? (I've heard of UM, Taylor's, Sunway, APU — but not sure which carry real weight)
- Which specialisation to go for? Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics?
- How are campus placements for international students?
- Is the KL job market actually welcoming to foreign MBA grads?

My long-term plan

Work in Malaysia for 4–5 years, then possibly move to Singapore, Australia, or back to India. Malaysia feels like a smart, affordable base to grow from before taking that bigger leap.

Would love honest advice from anyone who has studied or worked there. 🙏
