Planning a trip with gf to Barcelona in early September and we wanted to spend a couple days in Costa Brava. Struggling to pick a town but I’m leaning toward Calella de Parafrugell Or Cadaques .We won’t have a car, is it possible/easy enough to travel by train or bus? Additionally, we are more than open to hearing other suggestions for towns if you feel there are better options.
Struggling between the 2 because:
Calella: seems to have better beaches, but small town. Fewer historical sites. Are restaurants/bars good and open in September? I know there wouldn’t be nightlife which we don’t care about but just curious if this would really be a good fit.
Cadaques: much more history, slightly bigger town. So I assume restaurants/bars are better. Farther and harder without a car. Beaches not as pretty?
