Please tell me if I could work as an artist, be honest!

I'm 18 and I want to be an artist, vut my family won't quite accept it yet. So I want to know if I could go to art school to pursue a career with this. Really wanted to know an artist feedback, please!

The first one i uses no references and it's my OC. The secons one I just uses for the mermaid. The horse one that eas the closest pic i could find of the ref. My art is pretty random, hope u like it <3
