An artist residency has popped up recently that I'm interested in. I've not applied to any prior, are there any unwritten rules or things I can do to increase the likelihood of acceptance? I'm an emerging artist looking to do their MA next year as, for a few years now, I've wanted to become an art lecturer at a university level.
Does anyone have advice for achieving the balance between maintaining your practice and not overworking yourself teaching? Do you think it is possible to be a successful contemporary artist AND an educator simultaneously?
I understand most teaching in university have their own career alongside it, but I found that many struggle to maintain both and tend to focus more on one over the other. Thank you!
Hello! I'm hoping to start applying to universities to do my Master's this autumn for the 27/28 cycle. With this, I want to become a University-level art educator and lecturer (alongside continuing my practice as an artist!)
Is the UCL MFA or MA in Fine Art good for achieving this? Or, do you recommend any other courses/universities? Thank you!
