Questions about culture/music, etc.
Hello,
I am looking to apply to DePaul for what would be my first year in College, possibly Sports Business or Performing Arts Management next year.
A few questions impede my mind.
I personally smoke a decent bit; mainly marijuana. How tolerable is it to smoke?
I don’t think I would really be smoking straight bud in my dorm. Other forms, less smelly. I am also not a dick, so I will ask my dorm-mate/get a solo. Will the school come down on me hard?
I am also very interested in the local alternative music scene, and am very into things like Hardcore, emo, experimental, and especially jam bands.
I am interested in starting a band
(in the vain of Animal Collective, Phish, The Grateful Dead, Jawbreaker, Pixies, Twenty One Pilots!!)
and also just overall going to shows, getting to learn the local scene, meet friends and have a good time when i’m not loading my cranium with busy work.
Just looking on where to start for the music scene/local shows, and a bit of stoner help, among also just needing a little guide as someone who knows a little, not a lot.
I can get to where I’m going when I figure it out. Somebody said something about DePaul radio? That interests me extremely.
Would it be smart to get a fake ID? I am heavily considering it already considering how much I personally enjoy drinking and knowing how much use I would need/get from it until I am 21. I am happy to edit this part out if not allowed
