Guedra Guedra - Drift of Drummer (Animal Collective / Avey Remix)
youtube.comI am still searching for that Purple Bottle tone!!!
I’m listening to the Old Market recording for some insight but it just sounds like delay and some modulation. the album version sounds so shoegazey!! any idea what gear they used to achieve that?
First time doing AC inspired makeup
Having another makeup hyperfixation phase so here is my first attempt at any ac inspired makeup- I figured it would be easiest to read (yet is probably the most difficult design) I'd love to do water curses or sung tongs or even feels next. Maybe even COHP?

How would you guys rank aveys albums?
For me it goes 1) Cows on Hourglass Pond 2) Down There, 3) Eucalyptus, 4) 7s, and 5) Pullhair Rubeye.
Cows is my clear favorite, I mean, I'm pretty sure What's The Goodside is one of the best things he's ever done along with Saturdays and K.C. Yours, and __HORS, I'm just a huuuuuuge fan of Cows, I love cows so MUCH!!
Also, how about your favorite songs on each album? On Cows my favorite is What's The Goodside, on Down There my fav is Laughing Heiroglyphic, on Eucalyptus my favorite is Ms Secret, on 7s my favorite is Cloud Stop Rest Start, and on Pullhair Rubeye i like Who Wellses In My Hoff!
My fav version of House (sorry avey)
was digging thru my live AC playlist and unearthed this gem again, kinda makes me wanna see panda bring it out on a solo tour
What live era do you have the best memories from?
For all that have been following AC for a while...
They've had so many interesting shows over the years with how they mix it up for each tour.
Thinking back on it now- hearing a live ambient electronic version of Banshee Beat was pretty crazy and I think they may have played What Would I Want Sky at that show too. Long ass time ago.
Also had a lot of the fun at the Painting With tour.. when I followed them around for the east coast tour and met them outside after most those shows.
Thinking of doing an other music style set
sorry if this post doesn't belong here, and yes this is my second post today... BUT sung tongs is my favorite live era and one of my favorite things about the Other Music 2004 performance is how each song flows into the next one and it's really pretty. i'm pretty obsessed with that style, like panda bear's young prayer and a lot of their sung tongs era shows. (the sung tongs performances make me wish i was alive then!) but anyway, it's hard to do a set like that when you're working mostly with microkorg loops. and my microkorg is currently broken, so im taking that chance to get really weird with my acoustic guitar. kinda wish i had a bandmate to perform with me but that's neither here nor there... i'm having a lot of fun writing transitions in between my songs, even though it's only a 3 song set because it's an open mic. i just wanted to share that, and if any of you have experience doing a performance like this, do you have any tips? also my moms gonna see me play for the first time which is exciting!! thanks for reading, have a wonderful night, im so excited!
New Deakin Coming
Don’t know if it’s be said here but deakin said he’s releasing his next album next year, hopefully this mini tour he is on is a blend of the new stuff and his older record pretty stoked to hear what new vibes he’ll be putting out there
Does anybody have any idea what Avey Tare was using on the cows tour in 2019?
i’m most curious how they got the low end because i don’t think they were using samplers and the bass guitar didn’t have much low end
But have you ever tried listening to Painting With... ON WEED?
Any XTC fans?
Been getting into XTC recently and was blown away by how much their song "Another Satellite" (released in 1986) sounds like an AnCo / Panda Bear track:
Why are Gen Z idiots so obsessed with 'gEnRe'
Genre this genre that, it's all you ever talk about now. You are fucking retards.
you dumb fucks think music is a fast food drive thru and you order your mchappy meal fucking genre and get your little toy and go home and suck mommy's cock in your safe space then fall in the toy box and it closes and you are trapped and yell out for mommy but she's not home , that's right she's being licked out by the mailman and he hates you.
you think Bob Dylan wrote music to fit a 'gEnRe' you sad illiterate bastard sick fucks?
no he made music from his soul you fuck stick.
bjork didn't make music for ' gEnRe' she explored new sounds and made art unique to her. it just happened to be LABELLED BY CORPORATIONS TO SELL PRODUCT
'GENRE' IS CAPITALIST TALK FOR WHICH AISLE TO PUT THEIR UNITS IN
everytime you talk about your favourite 'gEnReS' a major label record executive gets another sloppy blowjob from Cherry the stripper downtown AND ITS ALL YOUR STUPID FAULT.
so please...
love music. love artists. they are all unique.dont love genres. love yourself and your favourite artists.just don't use that word. because I will come around and lovingly shoot the back of your tiny balls out with an AK - 47 and you won't walk ever again.
you will be talking 'gEnRe' from a wheelchair in a nursing home with your legs in a Mexican dump somewhere.
Thanks for your time.
Who does this remind you of?
I was in a dream state lying next to my four year old as he watched Tummy Tom 2, and I heard this scene. I believe it was written by Johan Hoogeboom and Mike Boddé. I wonder if they're fans...
