Has anyone quit partway through? I'm in so much pain and my Ortho dismisses it

So I'm on tray 10 with weekly changes and for the past few days I've been experiencing severe nerve pain up the side of my face since putting in this new tray. It's so bad that I'm not able to eat, drink or sleep without pain. I experienced the normal aches and pressure with the earlier trays but this feels really wrong.

I booked an emergency appointment today and feel totally dismissed by my Ortho. He said he's never had anyone experience severe pain before and that there's no way it could be nerve pain, because the nerves are so small that if they were damaged they would just break, not cause pain. Meanwhile I have pain in one side of my mouth radiating up to my eyes.

I've been told to wait 24 hours and put the aligner back in. Taking it out made me cry in pain and the thought of putting it back in is actually scary.

At this point I'm half considering stopping. I really want my teeth straightening and in some ways they're worse than when I started plus I know I'll lose money, but I'm in so so much pain and my Ortho seems to not take it seriously.

Has anyone had experience with this? Or advice you can give?

Nerve pain?

I'm on tray 10 and starting to get short spurts of nerve pain, around the canines on my left side, both top and bottom. It's worse when I drink something cold but very definitely nerve pain, not the gums or anything.

I haven't had this during any of my previous trays, should I be worried? When the pain kicks in it hurts pretty badly!

Before treatment at the top and end of week 8 at the bottom, dentist said I wouldn't see any changes until three months it so but I swear I see it! The canine on the bottom right has rotated and shifted up into a better position and I feel like you can see more of my molars when I smile?

He did say it would probably look worse before it looks better tho lol

An exhibition is coming up where I can submit up to three pieces, and I wanted to submit three of my 'Living Timber' pieces.

I'm pretty I want to enter the deer and possibly the barn owl, but which one should I put in as third?

- fox matches thematically but is a very different shape and darker wood

- rabbit is closer in wood colour but much less 'smooth' as it is painted in stepped wood

- pheasant is the right size and shade but I'm not sure on the texture in the body

- smaller flying owl, this is a wall piece which could add some variation but it is repeating the owl

This was a finished piece but my cat apparently took a dislike to it in the night and now there's a hole. I can scrape all the cat hair off as it's varnished but can I repair the hole or is this ruined?
