Litter Robot 4 will incorrectly report that it's full sometimes

Yesterday my Litter Robot 4 reported it was ~35% full and this morning it said it was 100% full. I forced a cycle (remotely as I'm not at home) and it now says it's 44% full. I last emptied the drawer 4 days ago and the cat fills the drawer after 7-8 days of use, so I know the 44% must be accurate.

Any idea why this is happening or how I can prevent it?

Advice for dealing with eldery person's car

I'm trying to help an elderly woman that's in a nursing facility figure out what to do with the car she'll never use again (2000 Honda minivan with very low miles but in rough shape due to years of neglect). Ideally we could donate it somewhere.

One problem is we're not sure where the title is. It likely in her safety deposit box, but she lost the key, so checking it would mean transporting her to the bank, which is not easy given her current physical state, and then getting the box re-keyed.

Would it be easier to just request a replacement title?

Registration (with smog) is due in a couple months. Another potential problem is the registration is addressed to her husband that passed away last year, so I'm assuming that means only her husband is on the title?

It's not clear to me whether the car will pass smog given that it hasn't really been driven in 5+ years. The tires are very old and I'm not really comfortable trying to drive it.

I guess one option is just to register as non-operational to not have the time pressure. Would that mean no smog check is needed?

Any advice on the easiest options here?
